Kingmaker Character Build Guide: New Player Edition.Generally speaking, for melee builds you're either building around big hits or lots of hits. The big-hits approach: STR-based using 2H weapons. The lots-of-hits approach: TWF, usually (but not always) DEX-based, possibly with a monk splash and monk weapon in your main hand for the extra attack (s) from Flurry of Blows.Archer variant would just add Manyshot. One of the problems with melee/ranged hybrids in Kingmaker is Owlcat's implementation; namely weapon-swapping is a standard action (not a move action) and there's no Quick Draw feat. Which means you would waste a round of combat switching between melee and ranged. For Kingmaker the best build for Geralt is the "Saint Vivisector": 19 Sword Saint/1 Vivisectionist. In the books Geralt rarely used bombs, with sword saint (focus Longsword or Bastard Sword) you will have magic, potions and awesome skills with the sword. With this build you can focus on DEX (for that you need to change the weapon for a Estoc ...Excellent build. Decent early game, solid scaling, utility, damage, and it can tank. I recommend Kukri as your weapon of choice. Other decent choices are Enlightened Philosopher, Vivisectionist, a Sword Saint/Duelist or Sword Saint 9/Mutation Warrior 11 hybrid, anything with Eldritch Archer, a standard Sorc/DD/EK Gish, and Grenadier. The biggest improvements for Grenadier in this game are: The ability to swift cast Targeted Bomb Admixture. The ability to swift cast Haste. Being able to take Ascendant Element (Fire) so you don't need any of the elemental bombs. Being able to have a Court Poet in the party for even more INT. 6. Reply. So, I was recently listening to the Gamer's Guide to Pathfinder podcast and I got this idea from them of a knife master/vivisectionist build to use as an antagonist in my campaign. So, the idea behind the character is a dangerous assassin who uses alchemy-based-steampunk-tech (think Full Metal Alchemist, and this is a skin job, BTW) as his ...1) Magus, especially sword saint (magus focused on one weapon) should pretty much match what you said. 2) "Melee" sorcerer, but i think it is more a mid level/high level build : buff yourself and transform into dragon, this kind of thing. 3) Druid, with shapeshift and a pet.How should a vivisectionist play? Class Build Help. Hi, I'm really confused by the amount of different playstyles, guides and builds give for a viv. Some say use strength, some day dex based. Some say use 1h and shield, some say just 1h, some dual wield and others 2h. A lot say to use just feral mutagen. A lot of guides also say to dip into ...elf knifemaster up to level 4 for debilitating injury which is insanely good, then go rest vivisectionist. Make sure you have around 13-14 int to cast self buffs from vivisectionist. Shield as level 1 for free +4 ac along with all your dex and mutagen makes you fairly tanky early game. PS Tai Chi's build is terrible. The Tank. By Nathan Garvin & Scott Peers. General Information. The Tank - Level by Level Stats. A good way to win most fights in Pathfinder: Kingmaker is to simply not get hit. Cheekiness aside, "not getting hit" really has two components - Armor Class (checked against most physical attacks and magical touch/ranged touch attacks) and Saving ...Vivis make great tanks (grand mutagen + barkskin + shield + blur/displacement). But sword saint only gives you int to ac per level of sword saint. So even if you have +6 int, one level in sword saint will still only give you +1 ac. If you have 6 levels, it's 6 ac. Though the vivisectionist ( Ultimate Magic) gives up one of the alchemist’s most identifiable features, it’s easily one of the most popular archetypes for mutagen- and melee-focused alchemists. Fond of anatomical experimentation, vivisectionists care little for explosions and instead approach battle with surgical precision. With the way sneak attack works, even rogues make good archers so long as there's at least 2 ppl in front. Zen Archer, Eldritch Archer magus, Warpriest (traditionally we use Arsenal Chaplain but normal is also fine) and Fighter are all fine options, but you can really use anything. 1.From a pure damage standpoint, the vivisectionist build deals more damage in the beginning, while at high levels a crit-hunting two-handed specialist is stronger (hit more often, crit higher). #1. Space Oct 10, 2018 @ 4:09am.Hello mates! Need some advice on a vivisectionist build. First strength or dex? I suppose dex will be way more tanky than the strenth variant. But to still get good damage is it a good idea to take 3 levels of Knifemaster rogue for the dex to damage feat? And have a level of monk for extra defense and flurry? If I'm right this way I could get up to 9 attacks per round with buffs (3 bab+2 dual ...Single class Archaeologist is not good. You should only take levels in that class to the point you get Take 10 on Trickery (level 7, I think), and then Prestige to RDD/EK. Probably do a dex Sword Saint, maybe like Traditional Monk 1 / Vivisectionist 1 ...Bring Sanctified Slayer all the way to 18, picking up an extra slayer talent, extra spell slots, and getting +1 BAB. Those rank 5 spell slots are nice, because each one is a quickened True Strike. Cut Sanctified Slayer off at 16, and dip 2 more levels in Loremaster for Improved Cleaving Finish. This saves a lot of feats getting regular Cleaving ...Knife Master upgrades your sneak attack die from d6 to d8 as long as you use small (d4) piercing or slashing weapons like daggers, kukris, etc. Basically you trade base damage for an increase in SA damage. Even at only 3 levels deep, Woljif's build seems like its fighting a war on two fronts. Speaking of Kingmaker, Woljif would have been just ...#PathfinderKingmaker est un jeux de rôle et donc un jeu où on peut faire du "gros bilisme", voici donc un build Alchimiste (Vivisectioniste) qui est bien "GB...Arch. Or bard5/slayer10 keeping the improved twf.Thinking of making a Fighter + Vivisectionist build, need help. Kingmaker : Builds. Thinking about trying to do another full playthrough of Kingmaker and was interested in making a simple fighter with multiclass into vivisectionist for interesting abilities. Rapid Shot and Fast Bombs do work together (see below). Here, a lowly level 8 Jubilost drops 4 bombs (with TBA) + an Acid Vial (via Alchemical Weapon) with the help of a Haste spell for 139 damage. A shame we didn't get a critical hit! This build is centered around creating a dex tank that gets an insane amount of attacks by abusing the greater speed sai you find (which can be wielded off hand to still give attacks to the main hand) and the fact that sais are considered a monk weapon eligible for flurry. Basically: Knifemaster 4 (Sai) Scaled Fist 1.OTOH if you want a TWF DPS build, you don't need so much monk and extra rogue levels for more sneak attacks would be better. E.g., monk 1 / Knife Master 19 or monk 1 / KM 3 / Vivisectionist 16 - 10d8 sneak attacks with small blades and Flurry of Blows means an extra attack from your main hand if you equip a sai or kama.Go to Pathfinder_Kingmaker r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker. r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker .
